“I celebrate that You were born to die so I could one day pray for you to save my life.”
This is what I believe. That Jesus Christ came as a baby so that he could one day die on a cross to save me. He was pierced, whipped, and ridiculed because of my own downfalls, my own sin. He did not come to the world to condemn but to save. I am so in awe. So completely amazed that God would love me enough to send his son to be punished for the things I did. I don’t just celebrate Christmas because of the birth of Jesus. I celebrate because it was the beginning of something amazing. He lived his life to share the truth, to spread love, and his purpose was not complete until he whispered “it is finished” up there on the cross. His task was finished. He came to save and accomplished that by giving up his life at the very end. Thanks to my Saviour finishing what he came to do, I have life and I am so grateful.
